ABSTRACT:

What is foam? How does it occur and the chemistry behind this phenomenon? Some foams are good and are encouraged, but in coatings and inks, in many areas of production and application, it can be a big problem, and difficult to solve. So how can you control it and what should you consider when choosing the right antifoam? We will also explore how you can test to see that you have right product for the job.

PERSONAL PROFILE:

Technical leader for Univar BV for the coatings and paints focused industry. I run 2 technical service coatings laboratories in the UK and Italy and head a technical team of 6 Gina Walkerpeople covering Europe, Middle East and Africa. I also cover the key coatings and inks account across EMEA region. Although I have been with Univar for 24 years, I have been in a technical role in the industry for 40 years and my background knowledge is varied from Can & Coil Coatings, Industrial Coatings and Decorative.
